Kirtan Darbar
The kirtan darbar on 28th may 2006 at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj was really excellent but I was disappointed to see such a low turn-out of Sangat. I don't know the reason for it .....but such great ragis and so few listeners!
Bhai Gulab Singh Ji Bhai Surinder singh ji of Singh Bandhu duo Bhai Jaswant Singh Ji from Amritsar
Bhai Sarabjeet Singh Rangeela ji from Durg
The SangatGuru maharaj's Palki
Another close-up of Bhai Gulab Singh jiThe weather in delhi is really hot and humid. I do agree it was a very uncomfortable day on sunday. But this kirtan darbar was dedicated to Guru Arjan Dev ji who had sacrificed his life on the hot tavi in this scorching heat of Jeth month. We can't withstand a little discomfort to listen to his bani? People instead preferred to watch its live telecast on TV in their air-conditioned rooms.
This made me really sad. We must do some soul-searching!
I have some video recordings of the programme which I would like to share. More photographs will follow in the next post.

Cool And Clean Morning
There were more showers last night in Delhi
The trees looked washed and happy
Flowers glowed in the morning rays
The lawns looked greener.......
Clean cool enviroment is being thoroughly enjoyed by this man
Best things in life come free of cost.......
bahutaa karam likhi-aa naa jaa-ay.
His Blessings are so abundant that there can be no written account of them.
vadaa daataa til na tamaa-ay.
The Great Giver does not hold back anything.

Aandhee paachhay jo jal barkhai tihi tayraa jan bheenaaN
Last night around 11.30 pm a very strong dust storm hit Delhi uprooting trees and electric poles. Rain and lightening followed the dust storm bringing down the temperature sharply. In the morning all the trees looked clean and washed as the sun rose. It was so cool and beautiful but I felt sad for the birds that lost their nests!

Gurudwara Damdama Sahib of Delhi
Gurdwara Damdama Sahib is located near Humayun’s Tomb on the Outer Ring Road, New Delhi.
This gurdwara is associated with the Tenth Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singhji. It commemorates his meeting in 1707 with Prince Muazzam, later Emperor Bahadur Shah. He had been requested by the Prince for help in his battle for succession for the throne with his brother, after the death of Aurangzeb. Guru Sahib met the Prince at this place and together, they drew up their strategy. They watched elephant and bull fights organized for their entertainment.

Summer Fruits
The Temperature is just shooting up in Delhi. It has already touched 45 degree celsius.Power cuts and water shortage is making life all the more difficult. The only good thing I can think about summer is Almighty's lovely gift of these Fruits. He is so kind that he created these juicy fruits to take care of us during this scorching heat. Least we can do is Thank him every time we enjoy them.
Tarbooz
The Aarru
Lovely Jammun Guess the cost.......Its Rs.100 per Kg.When we were kids no one would have bought it even at 1/100th the price coz there were so many trees in Delhi and plenty were available totally free.
Bet you must be wondering what is this! These are called Phalse and are typically sold in Delhi.I haven't seen these being sold in other cities I have visited. The fruit tastes sweet and sour
Kharbooja
This Style of selling Mangoes I saw only this year in Delhi
You can not think of summer without these Fruits
