Rain And Sunshine
A few showers made these lilies bloom

These flowers bloom only when sun shines

God you are Great!
It rains at night and sun shines in day time,
making each flower bloom.

Upinder you find beauty in your surroundings and you share it. I admire that and that is what I also try to do with my blog.
People see ugliness where I live, but I almost exculsively see beauty. I have a hard time seeing beauty in cities, and espcially with pollution like in Delhi, but you are capable and that is cool.

Thank you for your nice comments.
If we read Gurbani carefully we will note that we are guided by our guru to love creation of Waheguru if we want to love Him.Its just as a mother loves her child inspite of all short commings.
If we observe carefully ugliness is created by us God has given sooooo much and that too in such beautiful way.As Guru Nanak explains in Asa Di Var that if you speak insipid words your mind and body becomes insipid.I have learnt that from my life times experience that if you crib all the time about all the things which are not right you lose all your peace of mind.If I get irritated on delays by traffic jams or by someone's wrong way of driving I become so restless that I am not able to do my Nitname peacefully.Finding faults in others is only our pride 'coz at the back of the mind is the feeling that we are perfect.
Quotes from SGGS ( page 473)
jaa rahnaa naahee ait jag taa kaa-it gaarab handhee-ai.
Since one is not destined to remain in this world anyway, why should he ruin himself in pride?

mandaa kisai na aakhee-ai parh akhar ayho bujhee-ai.
Do not call anyone bad; read these words, and understand.

And This is something we should always remember:-

naanak fikai boli-ai tan man fikaa ho-ay.
O Nanak, speaking insipid words, the body and mind become insipid.

I don't wish to pose as a preacher.I just wrote it as I would have told my children.I must be as old as your mother and I feel sharing it with my children will guide them in thier journey of life.I personally learnt it the difficult way!
