Thank you Puneet!
This is near Rupnagar(Ropar-Old name)About 40km from Anandpur Sahib.I only pray every day that builders and so called developers stay away from this place.
They have turned so much of agricultral land into concrete that my heart bleeds! When i look at all that land which used to be full of crops, having big sign boards of various enclaves and valleys i feel vary sad.
Its capitalism at its peak..
Youngsters are shown crores of rupees and they make the old people sign the papers.
Its a free society, you can not prevent anybody from selling their land. They sell it and fly off to phoren leaving it in hands of those whose only purpose is to mint money.Worst is no one is talking about this issue at all.
Thanks Saravjeet!
My brother and myself did the same as kids!
Most wonderful experience!
When I visit my home in Jalandhar,I feel at peace. Once I venture out I am disgusted. Traffic chaos, dirt, garbage, construction, hoardes of people but none familiar - it rages me. What has happened to Punjab? I don't see turbaned Sikhs and/or Punjabis?
I love going back to my roots - my heart resides there; I don't see apathy among Jalandharites(Punjabis) - its more foreign than here in my second home in USA. I spend 2 months at a time there, I have not yet seen a trustworthy friend or neighbour or worker. Where are the values that our forefathers worked hard for are GONE? Migrated Indians here in the USA display the same...
Its sad how we portray ourselves in the world today!!!
Commercialism, scientific advancement must happen to survive but NOT at the cost of killing our values and green lands!
Beautiful pics Aunty ji.. can see it must've been so calm and serene here... Indeed a welcome relief from Delhi ji!! But its been pouring here since a week...u brought the rains with u.. :)
which place is this ji?
