Sunset At The Satluj

As the earth moved on and sun was hidden behind the hill we prepared to do Rehras Sahib and my thoughts wandered to the other side of the globe where sikhs at Amrit vela must be doing Japu ji Sahib. The entire globe seemed to be wrapped in Guru Nanak's bani and God's Love.

That what I was wondering one day. We follow India. You do Jap jee, we do it 12 hrs later. You do Reharas, we do it 12 hrs later. I see that it is a building at the bank of Satluj river. It is a nice place to be in. Is it a Gurdwara or someones house on the bank?

I lived in Punjab long ago. I think it was village Sudhar, near Halawara in Ludhiana dist. My Dad was in Indian Air Force and when he was transfered to Air Force Base at Halwara, we had to live for a few months in the village on rent as no accomodation was vacant on the base. Later on we moved on the Campus. Anyways, there was a Canal near the village Sudhar and I used to go there a lot in the evening and sit and watch the water flow, the birds chirp, the cows moo, sound of wind moving the crops in the field... I was a lil kid at that time (in 1980) but those are one of my best memories.

Over here we see fields only when we are traveling long distances by road that too in winters is all covered with snow. Havent see cows or other farm animals at all...

I always think of while Im doing Jap Ji others on the other side of the world are doing reharas. The whole world is wraped and fully protect with GuruJis banis.
