So many of them its like..........
....fire every where but a cool one
But....This big Gulmohar tree has no flowers
And this one has only a few

Sunset At The Satluj

As the earth moved on and sun was hidden behind the hill we prepared to do Rehras Sahib and my thoughts wandered to the other side of the globe where sikhs at Amrit vela must be doing Japu ji Sahib. The entire globe seemed to be wrapped in Guru Nanak's bani and God's Love.

Vaisakhi at Majnu Ka Tila
Gurdwara Majnu Ka Tila
Vaisakhi is celebrated every year at this Gurudwara in Delhi. Why they celebrate at this particular gurudwara I really don't know. All other Gurpurabs are celebrated at Lakhi Shah Vanjara hall at Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib. There is plenty of space and the hall built for purpose of diwans is really spacious there. Here as you can see shamiyanas are specially put up for the fuction. This year it was very comfortable but most of the times it becomes very warm and uncomfortable.

Gurdwara Majnu-ka-Tila is positioned on a hillock on the right bank of river Yamuna in Delhi. It is said that in the times of Sultan Sikander Shah Lodhi, a Muslim hermit used to live a secluded life here and helped people cross the river in his boat free-of-charge. His wish to see the glimpse of God was so great that he was always lost in his own thoughts. Thus, the people nicknamed him as 'Majnu', the well-renowned Persian lover. He attained enlightenment with the blessings of Guru Nanak. Guru Nanak blessed him that his name will be preserved along with his hermitage. Guru Sahib named this place as Majnu-ka-Tila (the hilllock of Majnu).
Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib ji, the sixth Guru also stayed at this place when he was invited by Jahangir, the mughal emperor, to Agra.

This is the place(at Gurudwara Majnu ka Tila) where saskar of birdh swaroops of Guru Granth Sahib, Gutkas and other damaged gurmat literature is performed on every first Sunday of the month.
